Christmas Partyv2008

I am glad that the Xmas party turned out great and food was all gone. I was worrying either too much food or not enough food because some people did not confirm to come and I lost counted the heads. Afterall it was all good.

Alot of the guests were first time that I met. They were invited by my mum who are my brother's customers from Herbalife. Mum thought they are malaysians too and pretty fun people so requested me to invite them as well.

At first I was hesitated because they were like 7 of them. The girl has her whole family came to Sydney for a visit plus her friends who are 2 sisters. I worried that food may not enough so I added more items into the menu...actually I just added a fried noodles.

At the end it seemed the food was more than enough but then it was all finished. I was so glad though the eggplant dish that I first time cooked I didn't even had a chance to taste because it was gone in no time. Guests told me the second round went back to the eggplant, the dish already empty. I have achieved for this my own created dish which all came from my imagination after I tried once from someone's else.

Also I would love to thank you to my friend Salwa who helped me to do ALL the cleaning on the night. I felt so bad but she insisted and she didn't even let me to speak a word about it. And also thanks her for bringing her beautiful children especially the youngest one. My mum and other ladies couldn't hands off from her. And thank god Salwa had a more peaceful time for her food.
On the other hand my mum didn't eat much because she was rather concentrated on the little one.

Due to all of us were so hungry and I was busy serving my guests and went off to my neighbours to give her some food and had a short chit chat to her, I forgot to took photos of all the food. Only had these 2 below that were before I bake them - Eggplant layered with mince sauce and bake drumsticks with homemad tomato sauce.

Yeap this is the little but most VIP of the night.

Thanks for your help Sal !!!
Majority of the guests of the night ! Thanks for coming and glad to meet Caren and her family and friends.

Yummy and chilly fruit salad from my neighbour. Thanks Elena !

Mum was cutting the lemon cake that I made.

We got poppyseed cake which was the only food that bought from outside, and the banana cake made by my mum.

Time for the food. Thanks to Caren brought us some nice mangoes and peaches.

Merry Christmas to you !

I just like to wish all readers a merry christmas and a very happy new year. Wishing you and your family have a joyful and festive season!
It is the time of the year again for the biggest celebration. Some chose to have a quiet and relaxing getaway holiday, and some would have to do a big feast and invite loved one to come over for a massive eat and drink party! Either one will be the great idea for celebration.
Whats the pre-christmas activity would be? SHOPPING and SHOPPING. I have been to the shopping everyday since a week ago. Not only once a day but sometimes can be morning and night time too because shopping centre opens until midnight since last week. People are so busy to do the shopping and it seems like it is an endless job.
Whats christmas activity? BBQ, Eat, drink, exchange presents, hangout with friends and family. This day is a very special day that you just want to spend it with the most loved one especially your family and closed friends. Also this day can be really chaos and tiring day due to the preparation of the party if you are having one. But its all good eventually. Its worth it.
Whats post-christmas activity? Guess what shopping again !! Because this is BOXING DAY !! People are checking which shopping centre opens and what time will open. People are also planning which to go and what time to go. To shop on the boxing day is totally packed and mad! You gotta be ready for it alternatively get up before sunrise and wait infront of the door before the shopping centre is even yet to open. Hmm... I am thinking to do this as I heard the news the the city shopping centre will open from 5am.
All these activities are seem unchangeable over the years. There seem to be a typical way of spending the time during this time around which I thought pretty FUN !
What am I going to do this year? 24th is the day I do my last shopping for the FOOD. Then of course preparation because I do not like to do everything on the day of the event. Early preparation gives you more relaxation and more organized. Then 24th night I will be going to a family home for Xmas even dinner with my mum. Lucky I do not need to prepare for any food on this occasion. And also lucky that mum will help me to take Adam for a night and bring him back to me on 25th when they are coming for the Xmas party.
25th will be my cooking day. I chosed to do more BAKING rather than frying which more easier especially you are going to serve 20 people. 20 people were invited !!!! Ohhh geee...my mum asked me a question " are you able to handle it"? You know why she asked me this questions coz majority of them are invited by my mum... not me ! Anway it is fine and I am so looking forward to it. But we set a rule that no more than 10 people stay at the balcony at a time. Mum worries that it may collapse. Haha..sometimes shes funny but guess what we gotta caution because it happened few times in the past few months.
Whats on the menu on 25th??
- Baked layered of eggplant, potatoes and saucy mince sauce (my first attempt on this day)
- Baked drumstick with potato and home made tomato sauce
- Deep fried salt n pepper squid
- Grilled lamb chop or cutlets ( love it as I just had it today)
- Stuffed tofu pop with mixed vegetables and chicken
- Massive bowl of green salad
- Creamy mixed salad of apple, potatoes, boiled egg, celery, red kidney beans, carrot, and peas
- Baked lemon yogurt cake
- Baked banana cake
Well I guess thats it and I hope it is enough for 20 people because all these people are food lover.
And I am sure I will be busy looking after my friend's daughter who is such a cutey.
Last but not the least, while I am enjoying the chaos and fun these days I will think of you and my thought will be hoping you and your family have a safe holiday and the new year will bring you more happiness!

How Long Do You Wait for Him to Commit?

Should you hang in there and wait for a commitment, or think about getting out? Examine yourself, the relationship, and your partner, and the answer will come to you.
We wish there were an easy answer to this age-old question, and that we could just give you some sort of magical mathematical formula. Something like, take the number of weeks you’ve been together, multiply by the sum of your ages, divide by the number of months his mother nursed him when he was a baby, then subtract the number of times he’s uttered the phrase, “Let’s just take our time.”

But like so many relational dilemmas, this one doesn’t come with an easy, ready-made answer. When you are trying to decide how long to wait for your significant other to commit, one of the best things you can do is to ask yourself some tough questions. Be as honest with yourself as you can, and see if these series of questions might shed a little light on your situation.
Questions to ask About Yourself: Why is a commitment important to me right now?
This question is all about motives. There are plenty of good reasons for wanting to take the next step in the relationship. For example, a deeper relational commitment makes a lot of sense if you feel that you two have the chance to develop something really strong together; or if you want to increase the level of trust in the relationship; or if you feel that you two are soul mates with a high level of compatibility. But there are also motives that are not as justifiable. A deeper commitment makes less sense if you simply feel that you two have been together long enough that he is now obligated to commit; or if you are afraid that you might not find someone else; or if you worry that he won’t ever really be true to you unless there’s an ironclad commitment. So check yourself, and your reasons for wanting to move things forward.
Is there a chance that I am rushing things?
We’re not saying that you are rushing things. But it’s important that you at least consider the possibility that you are trying to move the relationship along too quickly. Look at all of the dynamics of the relationship and ask yourself whether you are justified in asking for the increased level of commitment right now. If you determine that you are being a bit too impatient, then let things slow down a little and give him some time. If, however, you decide that it’s legitimate to be asking for more assurances from your boyfriend, then move on to the next questions below.
Questions to ask About Him: Do you think he really sees a future in the relationship?
If not, you’ve got a problem. And even though it will be really painful, you need to end the relationship now. The reason is simple: you two are in vastly different places in terms of how you see what you are doing together. You are ready to take the next step towards a serious relationship, and he doesn’t even see a future. That’s a huge gap between how you perceive things, and it doesn’t bode well for the success of the relationship. So if you determine that he’s not optimistic about your future together, then it’s time to move on.
Are you clear on why he may be feeling gun-shy?
Again, this may be a difficult question to explore within yourself, but it’s another important one. Is there a chance that your significant other is feeling pressured, or even trapped? It’s not always the case, but often, men (more than women) hate feeling trapped. If you are with a man and you constantly talk about the future and how nice it will be if you two get married, then there’s a good chance that you are going to scare him, and maybe even scare him away. If, on the other hand, he feels that you two are just enjoying deepening your relationship and your understanding of each other, you’ll have a better chance of his deciding on his own that he wants to take things to the next level. This doesn’t mean that you can’t bring up the question of more commitment on his part. But if you get a sense that he is feeling pressured, then you should tread lightly.
Questions to Ask about the Relationship: Are you two ultimately compatible?
This is always the big question in any relationship. Are you two pretty similar in terms of your foundational beliefs and desires? Or do you want really different things out of this phase of your lives? If there’s real compatibility between you—and you’ve been together long enough to be confident that there is—then it probably makes sense for you two to begin to go deeper in your relationship and move towards a stronger commitment. But if it is becoming increasingly clear that you two are in pretty different places in terms of what you want from each other and from the relationship, then it doesn’t make much sense to wait around for a commitment that will most likely never come.
Is the relationship good enough that you’re willing to wait?

Sometimes, we’re in a relationship that is so good that it makes us want more of it. This is definitely something to appreciate. If that’s where you find yourself now, then you should congratulate yourself on getting to enjoy something that lots of other people want to find. And it’s perfectly normal for you to want some sort of assurance from your partner that he feels the same way. But if you are getting lots of enjoyment and fulfillment out of the relationship as it stands right now, and he is asking you to be patient, then the best thing you can do is to wait. Not necessarily forever, but at least for a while. Enjoy the process, and do your best to live in and appreciate the present moment.

Safety Advice of KISSING

A passionate kiss has ruptured the eardrum of a young woman in southern China.

The 20-something woman from the city of Zhuhai, in Guangdong province, is reported to have partially lost her hearing as a result of the embrace.
The China Daily reported while kissing is normally very safe, doctors urge people to proceed with caution.

In some good news for the patient, doctors said the woman's hearing would be likely to recover in about two months.

"The kiss reduced the pressure in the mouth, pulled the eardrum out and caused the breakdown of the ear," the treating doctor said.

A strong kiss may cause an imbalance in air pressure between the two inner ears and lead to a broken ear drum.

The incident prompted newspapers to dispense kissing safety advice.

Do you still want to take the risk to kiss? What a kiss !!!!???

World's Best and Worst Airports Named

First Class or Economy - Where does your favourite airport rank?
The votes have been cast and the numbers have been tallied! London Heathrow has been voted the worst airport in the world by members of Priority Pass, the world's leading independent airport lounge program. More worrying news for Heathrow is that British members, who know the airport best, give an even more damning verdict than those in the rest of the world. In contrast, Asian airports get top votes, with Hong Kong and Singapore being voted favourite airports by these travellers, who take an average of 19 flights a year each.
London Heathrow is the airport most frequent travellers want to avoid according to a new survey from Priority Pass, the airport VIP lounge programme.
Priority Pass members, who take an average of 19 flights a year, were asked to name their favourite airport as well as the one they consider the worst to travel through.
Heathrow Airport was a clear "winner" in the "worst airport" category with 15% of the votes of worldwide travellers. British travellers were even more damning, with 30% naming Heathrow as the worst airport in the world
Paris Charles de Gaulle also fared badly, along with Los Angeles airport.
There was less agreement on the favourite airports, with Hong Kong topping the list, gaining 13% of the vote, followed by Singapore (11%) and Amsterdam (7%).
"Heathrow's reputation remains battered after a series of PR disasters in the last year or so," commented Jonathan French, Brand Director of Priority Pass, "but there are signs that Terminal 5 may be able to swing opinion back in the long-term."
The Aussie Opinion
Australia agreed with the rest of the world in naming London Heathrow as the worst airport, with a massive 23% of Australians voting for it.
When it came to our most favourite airports around the globe, the clear winner was Singapore Changi, which 43% of Australians voted as their favourite airport - way ahead of Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok, which was second with 12% (in the worldwide vote, these two airports were also in 1st and 2nd place, but the other way round).
Back on home soil, both Sydney and Melbourne airports made it into the Top 30 worldwide list of "favourite airports".
I personally do not think Sydney airport is a favourite airport as when I first touched down in Sydney I was amazed that how SMALL it is the sydney airport. But it is renovating now since few months ago and perhaps my next visit will be impressed by the new look of Sydney airport.
What's important at the airport?
Travellers have very clear views on what makes for a good airport experience and what is less important.
The most important things are all based around minimising the time spent at the airport: punctuality of the flight departure, the speed of check-in, and the speed of getting through security checks. Having access to a peaceful lounge was also rated very highly.
Rated as unimportant was having shopping facilities, and having eating and drinking facilities was also much, much less important than simply having an efficient passage through the airport.
The message is loud and clear. Don't build more and more shops and restaurants; simply provide comfortable lounges and travellers through the whole airport process as quickly and smoothly as possible! True and agreed !!
Summary of results (Worldwide vote):
Which airport do you think is the worst in the world?
15% London Heathrow
5% Paris Charles de Gaulle
5% Los Angeles LAX
3% Chicago O?Hare
Which is your favourite airport?
13% Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok
11% Singapore Changi
7% Amsterdam Schiphol
5% Dubai World Central
Hmm... I wonder why no one voted Cairo airport is the worst airport also? Totally NO SYSTEM ! To those who have been there sure agreed with me.
I would vote for Doah airport because it is so clean, new and comfortable. There is a room called Silent Room? SOmething like that .. becaue that room is dark and only has fitted with many resting chair for travellers to take a nap. I had been there twice and all of us could sleep there very well. It is really dark, quiet and comfy.

Coco like seeing magic!

It's been a while I do not blog about Coco. As usual I play with Coco whenever I got home. If I don't see her for a day, I shall expect lots of kisses from her on the next day.

Since my grandma came to my parents house for short stay last Sunday, Coco has been moved to my parents room all time. My dad ordered my brother to switch on air-conditional for Coco. As she loves cooling place, and she wont smell so bad later.

Last night when I got home I had a short chat with grandma. Coco was seeing me from the window, and she was kept crying that she wanna get out from room to get some hugs from me. I then rushed to see her. After my dinner, since grandma went back into room for rest, I decided to spend more time play with my daughter, Coco again.

I was playing a cloth with her (according to my mom, that cloth could be my dad's ex-boxer. OMG......but I am not sure. Coz it's sew, and I really not sure what does it look like after Coco's modification).

So I show Coco the cloth from my right pass to the left, and from left pass to the right. I kept on doing it for a while. She was trying to grab the cloth from me by crossing my legs, and my back. And sometimes, she is even pretending to get closer to me when she crossed, and try to kiss me.

After a while, I think she get bored. She stopped there, and sat beside me without moving, because I didn't give her the cloth. So, I left the cloth on the floor, and she use her eyes "Jerling me" then move slowly to the cloth. I quickly took it away. Then I put it under my thigh when she is not aware of (it's a very difficult job, as she is starring at the cloth without giving me chance). I have hidden it successfully. She couldn't find it, so she then sat down quietly and turning her head up, and down, left and right to look for the cloth. She thinks if she is guai, I will give her the cloth. Ha.....I have got fun now.

I then play with her like showing her magic. She sat the quietly, guai guai dei.....and kept looking for the cloth with her curiosity. She really looks cute.

Usually, I will use her BBQ jerky to train her. But last night I used the cloth to play with her to see if she can listen. It's cool that she still remember all of the command I taught her. I asked her to "Stay". Then I purposely walked behind her. She then turn her body to see where I walked to, but she dare not make huge move (If you can see her reaction, that would be funny). Then I tried to get her hold for quite long, she was just sitting there to wait! After a while, she could not stay anymore. She started to make some movement, then I told her..."Hey...Stay ma...why move?" then she walked a bit, stay a while, walk a bit stay a while to move herself get nearer to me.

She is even trying to give me hands, see if she would get the cloth as reward. hm.....she is very very cute.

Sorry that no picture/video to show. As I was enjoying too much with Coco. And nobody can help me to do it. My family said me "siao cha boh, bien moh soot "(crazy girl play magic).

But I can see my parents enjoy seeing Coco stupid observation last night heehhehe
