A passionate kiss has ruptured the eardrum of a young woman in southern China.
The 20-something woman from the city of Zhuhai, in Guangdong province, is reported to have partially lost her hearing as a result of the embrace.
The China Daily reported while kissing is normally very safe, doctors urge people to proceed with caution.
In some good news for the patient, doctors said the woman's hearing would be likely to recover in about two months.
"The kiss reduced the pressure in the mouth, pulled the eardrum out and caused the breakdown of the ear," the treating doctor said.
A strong kiss may cause an imbalance in air pressure between the two inner ears and lead to a broken ear drum.
The incident prompted newspapers to dispense kissing safety advice.

I think they are doing something kinky in their kiss la.. like they try to suck the toungue while they are kissing. So if they continue to do that without taking rest. Sure this sucking sucking will cause the pressure inside the mouth to change la hahahaha
