Counting Down

I am counting down to meet my sweet lovers tonight. It's been long time we never have such gathering. Although it's a little rush, as I am gonna travel to KK, Sabah tomorrow early morning with 7.20am flight. I am prepared to have a sleepless night.

I am also counting down to KK trip...and also US trip, which is next weekend.

It's gonna be very challenging to me, with all kind of entertainment, and new peoples. Anyway, it's should be very fruitful.

Dates

My company has been selling dates since year 1969. I didn't know how does the tree look like. Until today, I just made a quick study.

Date palm cultivation originated in the Middle East and, it spreads to North America, California, South Africa, and then some of the Australia regions. Middle East is still the major production place, which accounts for 90%. Date palm is one of the oldest tree in the world.

Date is always associate with religious occasions like Ramadan for Muslims (it's mentioned many place in Quran) and Christmas for Christian. But in Malaysia, it's very famous only during Ramadan, as we are Muslim country. Traditionally, dates and milk are the first meal when the sun sets during Ramadan.

It taste delicious, and sweet. It provides lot of energy. In desert, those people only eat dates with milk to get survive. It has its medicinal value as well, it can help in sore throat, colds, relief fever, diarrhea and more. Of course the nutrition value is even better.

1) It provides energy for metabolic activities in body because the fructose is ready to absorb in intestine.
2) It provide potassium 2.5 times more than bananas, it can protect our heart against blood hypertension. The iron content in dates can also keep you against anemia.
3) It's also function as "brain food", the phosphorus and calcium content in dates can promotes the growth of brain and nervous system cells especially at embryonic development stage, and for healthy bones and teeth to adults.
4) The magnesium content in dates is important in strengthening of muscles and enhances the efficiency of muscular contraction processes.
5) Dates sugars and minerals have combined a positive effect in the maintenance of the sexual activity in both gender. It also combined the effect in strengthening the uterus muscles in pregnant women and leads to easier to give birth.

Match Making

I thought my parents are always no worry about my marriage. But...But.....today after dinner, my mother told me that she has had her friend daughter's wedding yesterday. She has a casual talk during the dinner. She get to know a new friend, Cindy, and Cindy saw her mobile phone with our family picture.

Cindy asked whether any of my mom's daughter still available..ha ..ha....
She said her sister's son who is in Spain still single, about 30 years old. Their family is worrying about this "ah boy" does not have time to find girl friend. He is coming back for his holiday in May/June.

She is gonna be match maker for "ah boy" and me! Cool!....I don't even meet Cindy before.

I do not mind to meet more friends, but! I never thought that I have to do this, match making?!?!? Really??? Sure??? Do I need it???

My reading

I have bought 3 books from bookstore today. "Guy de Maupassant Collection", also a book from Jacob Grimm, and Wilhelm Grimm ( I don't know what's the book's name suppose to be in English), and lastly"Robinson Crusoe" for myself and my friend. They are all in Chinese.

It's like a habit that I built since I was young. I read Chinese book (novel or short story) during leisure time. But I read English magazines (fashion/health/business magazines), English Newspaper and English text books.

And usually my reading time is in early morning right after I wake up from my dream. It's about 15-25 mins, during my daily toilet session :P

I used to have more time, I read when I was on the bus. But nowadays, I am driving by my own most of the time from place to place. So, I don't have the spare time to read during travel anymore.

I think I should spend some time to read before sleep.

Malacca Day Trip

It's a day out for sun tan. Lucky that Ryu bought a pair of umbrella (which cost USD200 each) for Heng and Ling's wedding gift, therefore we have the neat and nice umbrella to protect our skin for whole day. We were trying to find the selling point of the umbrella, and if we were Ryu, will we buy the umbrella. It's really no way! The expensive Umbrella, see it? Worth USD 200/each???

We visited museums, that I never been in, though I have been to Malacca for so many times. It's so cheap! RM 5 for 5 museums. Compared with those foreign museums, this is really CHEAP in term of price. The museums that we went in Europe are charging more than Euro 20 and above. And it is also CHEAP in term of maintenance, there is no consistency or quality of air-conditional in each room of museums, the flooring quality, the antique protection, and the description of each piece. The description of the pieces are mostly written in Malay, which is not friendly to tourists who don't read Malay. They should have charged higher in price, and use the money to do a better job. Museums' display are valuable things that not only worth RM 5.

We then have our late lunch at The Coconut around 5pm. The cafe is in a more than hundred years old house. They serve Italian food, pizza with real wood baking method. Another impression I have there is, many mosquitoes. We were there to feed them. Then, we went to Jonker Street for night market. It's no longer special to me, as I have been there a couple of times. As usual, there were many food stalls, and craft stalls. There is also Karaoke competition, and many old folks were there showing their singing talent.

We then went for Hainannese food. The restaurant was on TV show before, Ling said. We have made reservation. Lucky we did. The old guy who works there was telling peoples who walked in that all tables are under reservation, though there were 40% fulled. Then, they walked to the next door air-conditioned Hakka restaurant. Indirectly, they drive the Hakka restaurant's business. When we left, the Hakka restaurant was fulled. The food is just okay, and they charged very below market price as well. It's obvious that Hainannese restaurant is running with their traditional pride who serve food to their neighbourhood, while Hakka restaurant boss is really a smart businessman who sell food, environment and service.

Meeting new friend

Just said that I am lazy to meet new friend, but today I met one Japanese guy at Sky Bar, who is Ling's friend that she met in France. They are inviting me to go Malacca trip with them tomorrow. I am joining them...ha! This is the only weekend I can stay at home before US trip, but I just "fan jin" can't rest at home.

I felt a bit bad after drinking red wine. The calls from Alston's mom is still linger me. I felt bad to his family. It's very sad to have surprises from the son. It's never good news, but lots more bad news, and things to settle for him. I am not sure does he feel guilty on what he did, but what I am very sure is, he thinks the whole world hate him. He never thought of actually he hates the whole world. He might continuously do something disappointed his family, like how he disappointed me. His lie is getting real that he, himself might trust what he made it already. He must have to learn how to love and appreciate. I do not understand an adult of 31 years old thought, who should know what he does is all under his own responsibility. I do not mind that he hates me, but I found him not qualify to hate me. I did nothing wrong against him.

Hope that his mom can get a better idea of what is happening now, by not blaming to the wrong person, his sis. She is innocent, she did her best just to protect his brother, who hates her. She wanted to help him, but she found herself helpless, as the family doesn't have the common thought to do the same thing. The parents do not dare to communicate with him. See the problem? What kind of feeling is this? I seriously pity his parents. His sister then afraid he might suspect her misunderstood the whole situation, and worries about his psycho thought. I pity his sister too.

Good-Bye to the dust

It's been a month I don't really have time or mood to clean off the dust at home. That really annoyed me. I have my nose blocked every night when I get back home. Imagine@ haha....But to be frank, I am super sensitive to dust. There is some hardwork to clean up everything, from floor to wall, to air-condition, and every single item on table, on rack, and window. I am lucky that I have Aliyah to assist me.

Friday night

My Friday is getting slow. No more party. It's the aging effect, the two similar age ladies just went for shopping, and dinner. I am getting lazy to meet new peoples in my leisure time (not working time, because network is still important in carreer), I want to have more rest to recharge energy for the next following week.

During our shopping, we found our stubbornness in choosing our own fashion style. It has reached to the very obvious stage now. The buying pattern is standardized.

As a marketing manager, I always want to avoid myself get into others' marketing trap. However, I also agreed that their marketing strategy is really efficient. In order to learn from them, I can't help myself to appreciate their effort by paying their products.

She thought i was the one who always just know how to laugh, but now, i also know how to cry. haha....but she doesnt know i am easily cry type. My tears are not under my control all time. I can cry in next second.

Again, I was in Hilton, KL for whole day. Today is the second day. I just felt that, I wanna get the hell out from the place. I was about to go crazy, just like a closed dog, which is gone crazy in cage. I can't help myself from not ordering alcoholic drink to "release" a while. I have ordered a glass of white wine for dinner. It helps for refresh the brain.

After today, I found myself will be very busy from today till June, and it could also be until next year February. I really want to spend time with Ah Nam. Ah Nam, I will try my best!

I am tired. Moreover, I received a call from my ex-bf's mother. She made me recall of him today. It was a suffering process to forget him. I really wanna reduce the chances to thinking of him. The sweetest memory was no longer in feel. The pain is the only thing that linger in my heart. But, thinking of future, I have made the right move. Forget him, the history, the past tense that for a lesson.

thank you for your frequent visit to my blog. I would like to share all single thing that happened to me. I found myself very tired today, but i am very happy that Esther told me that she visit my blog everyday. I am then come back to the blog to thank her quickily, with the classical music to wake me up. And I think Hong told me that Patrick also is my blog's regular, thank you Patrick. Who else did I miss out??

Today i have met new group of peoples from Egypt and UAE. I have never met peoples from the mentioned countries yet. What surprised me is, they speak well English. Very fluent English, that you might not believe they are from UAE or Egypt. They are very aggressive, they don't need breakfast, lunch or dinner, we thought. But, we were having miscommunication, and end up all of us were hungry for whole day. Lucky that we have a chance to try out samples during meeting, the sweet dates. It saved me!

I have my lunch+ dinner at 8pm just now, with my brain went blank without having any ability to absorb what they were saying.

These peoples are very aggressive, out of my expectation. We thought that spending 2 hours for our company introduction, but end up....er..let me count....it's 13 hours today + at least 3 hours tomorrow morning. They are 45 years old and above, but their energy like 25 years old. They are brilliant too, they have the know how of how to spend money. I wish they could hire me! I always know how to spend money:P

Sun Set of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

These are Kota Kinabalu, Sabah sun set pictures. They are taken from different sea side. Now you know why I always "go back" to Sabah, few times a year. It's really beautiful. My "home town".

It's also call land below the wind, Sabah. The city is Kota Kinabalu, or traditionally they called it Api-api locally. It's a famous tourism spot, which is located in East Malaysia. According to my friend, it's called Api-api because the place is hot, but I will say it's sunny! The place is not been polluted yet, the water is crystal clear. I will post some pictures of the water next time. It's a good place to go, if you want to get away from the busy city.

They also famous in white river water rafting. It's a MUST to try it. You can try Padas River. It's very safe, the equipments are international standard. There are guides who will take care of you. Of course, you don't do what they ask you not to. You will then experience also the oldest train in KK. It's the transport for you to go up to the starting point. It's a wonderful experience!


The local peoples there are friendly. They speak Malay Bahasa Baku most of the time, because their aboriginal, Kadazan speak it. The mixed of Kadazan and Chinese is common there, they called themselve Sino Kadazan. They usually speak Malay at home, but they know how to speak in Chinese too.

Tanjung Aru Beach, the famous beach in KK. There are many food stalls at the food court there. One of the famous thing is their avacodo juice, and coconut juice. You will find there are many home made preserved fruits. They are very different than West Malaysia.

It's very near to the airport. Usually I go there before I go onboard. The place for last supper at KK, Sabah.
