very touching story, but few facts that concern me, can a lizard live as long as 10 years or more? well, everybody knows, lizard will break their own tail to escape from anyway danger, and the tail will grows again.

why didn't it do so, 2 10 years old lizard, do they not know their own ability, had they forgot the basic instinct? once again, very touching STORY, but for real, i wonder.

What is the life span of a lizard?

The life span of lizards varies depending on the species. But in general, the larger the species of the lizard, the longer it is likely to live. Some small lizards live on average for just one year, where some large lizards could be expected to live for decades.
